SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY


SOCIAL responsibility and responsibility for the environment are basic postulates of Agroproteinka’s business management:

By installing conditioning and filtration for biogas (investment estimated at 800.000 € ) we managed to eliminate the unpleasant odours.Analysis made by the authorised laboratory prove unpleasant odours are not releaset into the atmosphere.

Building modern equipment for mechanically-chemical treatment of waste water (investment estimated at 200.000 €).Results of laboratory analysis show considerable effects of purification of waste water.

Taking part in projects and research to enable the highest level of usability of the final product and by that uphold the trend of sustainable development, both for producers of animal waste and those that process it.

Realisation of open and direct dialogue wih local communities, government and non-government organizations, media, and social in general..

Epizootiological - Epidemiological and veterinary - sanitary protection The most important role AGROPROTEINKA plays is prevention of dangerous infectious, parasitic animal diseases spreading from animals to animals and from animals to people such as: anthrax, brucellosis, q-fever, salmonellosis, trichinosis and rabies, etc. By urgent and responsible collection and thermal processing of diseased and infected animals AGROPROTEINKA prevents disposal of infected carcases in the environment and further spreading of diseases.

Ecological - Ecological protection Animal waste disposed in nature has a fast process of decomposition during which several by- products such as gases are released into the atmosphere. The increased concentration of such gases can be poisonous and could cause heavy breathing, disturbed functions of blood stream and exhaustion. By managing disposal of hundreds of tons of animal waste daily, AGROPROTEINKA makes sure to leave our environment free from animal carcases that pose a threat to the cleanliness of earth, water and air.

Communal - Playing an important communal role By laying down conditions important for development of economical, social and communal activities AGROPROTEINKA enables the self-government of the municipalities and cities to fulfil the demands of population.

By collecting and processing animal waste from entire area of Croatia, AGROPROTEINKA prevents its disposal into the environment and by that, pollution of earth, drinking water and air. Since the waste is a by-product of meat processing and it amounts to 200 tons daily or 55.000 tons yearly, its disposal should be managed with utmost care, in order to reduce the pollution of environment, AGROPROTEINKA educates the producers of animal waste about the proper ways of its collection and storage until the take over. THIS TECHNOLOGY OF PROCESSING ANIMAL WASTE HAS AN ALMOST 100 PERCENT RECYCLING EFFECT THAT CAN NOT BE ACHIEVED BY ANY OTHER METHOD OF WASTE MANAGEMENT.

The main pollution problem caused by animal waste is the presence of organic substances which when disposed in environment undergoes a process of fast decomposition, using the surrounding oxygen on the expense of other recipients and pollutes earth, water and atmosphere with the products of its decomposition (nitrogen compounds, sulphides, green house gases- methane, ammoniac and nitrogen oxides) and endangers flora and fauna.

NO OTHER WASTE CAN BE AS SUCCESFULLY PROCESSED IN CROATIA AS ANIMAL WASTE. THE METHOD AGROPROTEINKA USES IS (EU “METHOD 1” EC NO, 1774/2002) OF HIGHEST TECHNOLOGICAL STANDARDS AS CONFIRMED BY AGROPROTEINKA’S INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATES AND NORMS FOR QUALITY: ISO 9001:2000, HACCP AND GPM.
